The Franchise Support Team

Directors of Regional Support

The Directors of Regional Support (DRS), or “doctors” as they are often referred to, are area developers who act as an extension of the company headquarters by providing hands-on support to franchisees in their territories that will help grow their individual local businesses. They provide one-on-one assistance with grand opening preparations, acquiring events, venue contracts, employee training, and any additional operational support that is needed. Now in its 15th year, the DRS program has evolved into a group of people who are invested in the future of the company and whose role is to guide others along in their journey towards achieving business success. The program consists of five Maui Wowi® franchisees who represent Minnesota, Southern California, and Houston. As beacons across the country, the Directors of Regional Support outline the pathway for local franchise owners, while continuing to represent the brand, the products, and the lifestyle.

Regional Directors of Operations

The Regional Directors of Operation (RDO) are trained support staff with assigned territories. Their job is to work with the franchisees within their territory to assist, support, and uphold brand standards. Much like DRS, they act as an extension of the company headquarters to provide hands on support. Strategically placed around the country they have the ability to more easily support their franchisees with site visits and consistent communication.

Franchise Advisory Council

The Franchise Advisory Council (FAC) is comprised of six members who are elected by the franchisees in each region to represent them and act as a liaison between them and the corporate headquarters. Each FAC representative is also an active franchisee themselves; working events, owning stores, catering or operating multiple units. The responsibility of the FAC is to act as the voice of our franchise system so that each franchise owner’s input and feedback are heard. They play a very important role in helping us achieve our goals by contributing to discussions that help move the brand forward. Most importantly, each member of the FAC takes great pride and responsibility in the position and works to create mutual success for the entire ‘ohana.

“I wrote a book about how Maui Wowi® changed my life. It changed my life because I was a corporate guy, very dutiful, as a lot of people in my generation are, and it really didn’t do anything for me.”
