Community involvement is a value that Maui Wowi encourages of its franchisees- but it’s not difficult to convince them of its importance. Giving back is what many franchisees were initially attracted to when they discovered this brand.
The No-Work Fundraising program was established by Maui Wowi as a way to raise money and give back to the local community. Franchisees sell smoothies and coffees at an event and then donate a portion of their sales back to the organization. It’s a win-win!
When Colorado franchisee Erik Boller was recently approached by the local Make a Wish® chapter, he was eager to get involved. Make a Wish® Colorado is partnering with local high schools to raise money to make deserving students’ wishes come true. The fundraising campaign has raised an impressive amount of money due in part to the students, local restaurants, and the community.
Erik was asked to be a part of the Wish Week campaign as one of four food vendors to serve students during lunch hours. As a No-Work Fundraising event, Erik donated 15% of sales, which added up to just over $1,000.
Not only did Erik get the opportunity to take part in a fantastic organization and help his local community, but it has also lead to additional events within the school system. He is now helping them raise money for their after prom celebration.
Whether it’s youth sporting events, college campus activities, or a variety of other community focused gatherings, Maui Wowi franchisees are ready and willing to step in and help raise money for their cause. With an easy to use online system, event organizers can submit a request for Maui Wowi to be at their event and it will distribute the request to the entire Maui Wowi ‘ohana (family). This provides a quick and simple method for matching franchisees to event requests in their area.
